Until the modern day computers appeared all the process of designing electronic circuit boards had to be done by hand, making it a really complicated and laborious work. PCB Artist is a free tool with which it is possible to develop virtual circuits and even allowed you to fill in a budget depending of the components that you use for each of them.

  As if it was a drawing application, this application has all the necessary tools for the design of any circuit. It has a library with all the components (transistors, chips, cables, elements,...) that we will need to use for our design (even though it is also possible to be able to create our own components thanks to the drawing tools included).

  Once our circuit design is finished we will be able to perform a test that will check if we have forgotten any element or the circuit isn't functional and, afterwards, we will be able to transform our design into a diagram for the preparation of printed circuit boards, being able to configure or manipulate each of the elements and parameters manually.
